If you have not paid in advance for your order,
and you would like to pay upon pick-up time
you must pay by cash only.
If you come to pick up your order, you are not obligated to buy it if you don’t like it or think something is wrong, because after picking up the order, we bear no responsibility. Please check out our Acclimation Guides & Information.
Once fish is added to your aquarium, we are not responsible for sudden deaths or illnesses. We sell healthy fish, and once they are in your system, their continued good health is your responsibility.
SHIPPING (Express $60 / Priority $25)
All sales are final. With that being said we will do everything in our power to make things right in case of DOA during shipping. Just like there are bad sellers, there are bad buyers, so we have to say that all sales are final to protect ourselves.
In the event of any DOAs, a picture of dead fish/shrimp/plant in the bag must be provided within 2 hours of the delivery of your shipment. The shipping fee is non-refundable. Then if it is decided that the fish/invertebrate/plant has died during shipping through no fault of the customer, will be refunded monies paid minus the shipping charge, or have the choice to receive replacements with an additional shipping fee.
Again, this is completely at our discretion, we want all our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase at Tropical Basement, but do not want to be taken advantage of.
We ship via USPS Express or Priority mail to the continental United States. We ship on Mondays only! Depending on weather certain items especially guppies and plecos will not be available during the winter months. Shrimp, plants, and snails can be shipped during winter unless it is frigid on our end or buyers end. A heat pack will be provided at no additional charge if needed.
Shipping during the winter months can be tricky, so shipping days may vary slightly due to “weather windows.”
