The ribbon only has long anal fins and most often a long dorsal fin,
that it makes the females look more attractive to keep
and in my opinion, they are beautiful!
The tail (caudal) is not affected by the ribbon gene.

The swallow has long fins too but the tail is uneven in shape,
it kind of appears eaten, it does not look like fin rot!
I believe that is why they were named Swallow (LOL).
