Yes, that it is a possible …
After the show/exhibition
some of the exhibited fish (entries)
are auctioned after show/exhibit.
Whether it is good to buy these fish or not,
it all depends on the genetics, age, etc.
There is something
you must keep in mind …
The vast majority
of entries at the show are hybrids.
But, if someone state on AquaBid,
eBay, or on any other website,
that he / she or they will sale to you
‘Show Quality Guppy’ …
I can tell you this;
If the breeder have a ‘show quality fish’
he / she / they
will send that fish to the show.
If they weren’t sent,
they would keep it for themselves (as breeders).
Show Quality Guppy
must be at least 2 inch in size,
one inch body length
and one inch in caudal fin length.
Ratio must be 1:1 …
For more info
you will have to join IFGA
and read a JUDGING BOOK.
Lots of money spent on live, dry,
frozen and other fish foods, time, etc.
to get our fish to that point
ready to show / show quality fish …
And just sale it for a couple of dollars?
Does that make sense to you?

All IFGA reputable breeders
will sale to you young,
high quality fish from their
“show quality lines”
but not “show quality fish”.
You must do your work
(breeding strategy, selecting, feeding etc.)
to get your fish
to that point where you want to be!

It is important to remember that no matter how good the stock, the offspring are not clones of their parents and it is only the top 10% or 5% that are good enough to be of show quality standard.
